This is a gateway seminar to the Global Studies PhD Emphasis. This seminar will provide an overview of globalization while at the same time reflecting the specific and key debates within the ten departments that are participating in the new Ph.D. Emphasis in Global Studies (Anthropology, English, History, Political Science, Religious Studies, Sociology, Communication, Comparative Literature, Geography, and Film and Media Studies). It will include presentations and discussions led by faculty from each of the participating departments. Admission by permission of the instructors.
